Phoenix Prediction Docs

Scout

The assistant that drafts questions for your players and proposes their answers, and what your team steers

Scout drafts prediction questions for your players from public sources: upcoming events that a named, public source will answer on a known date. You choose what it looks for and how many; your team publishes or rejects every draft.

The Scout page appears once Phoenix has set up a Scout for your operator; ask your Phoenix contact if you want one. Content and Admin staff change its settings; Viewers can read them.

What It Looks For

Saved with Save what it looks for:

SettingNotes
TopicsThe topics Scout drafts questions under. At least one
PlacesThe places whose events Scout looks for first: Global, or up to 10 regions and countries (see Places)
Source languagesThe languages of the sources Scout reads, 1 to 5
How far aheadHow far ahead a question may close, from 2 to 180 days

How Much

Saved with Save how much:

SettingNotes
New questions per runFrom 1 up to the ceiling Phoenix sets for you
Runs everyHow often Scout runs: no more often than the floor Phoenix sets, and at least once a week

A value outside these limits is refused at its field. Every draft waits for your team in the Queue.

Set by Phoenix

The line under the page title says whether Scout is on. The Set by Phoenix panel shows what Phoenix keeps for your Scout: how answers are confirmed (by a person unless Phoenix turns on confirmation without one), the research budget, how long it waits before looking again for an answer it has not found, your ceiling and floor, and that Phoenix chooses the AI models. Ask your Phoenix contact to change them.

Suggested Questions

Each draft is an event owned by your operator, with its rules, its source and Scout's reasons. It waits in Queue > Suggested. Nothing reaches your players until you publish it.

  • Review and publish opens the event page, where you check and publish it like any of your events.
  • Reject asks for a reason: Not interesting, Unclear rules, Bad source, Duplicate, Against policy, Wrong facts, or Other with a note. A rejected suggestion cannot be published later.

Proposed Answers

When a published Scout question's answer is due, Scout researches it and proposes a result with its evidence. It appears in your Queue as Confirm Scout's answer.

  • Confirm settles the market with Scout's answer and evidence. You are recorded as the person who confirmed, with the reason "Confirmed Scout's proposed result" and Scout's confidence.
  • Enter a different result lets you settle it yourself, as with any of your events. You can also hold or void the market.

Scout's answers wait for a person unless Phoenix has turned on confirmation without a person for your Scout.

History

The History tab lists every question Scout drafted for you: All, Waiting for review, Published and Rejected, with what your team decided and how each published market ended.
